HEARING LOSS/ AUDIOLOGIST how to find a private specialist?

Hi. My DH is 45 and really struggles with his hearing. He has been told ( as far as he can remember) that he has hearing loss over certain frequencies, very much like a musician's hearing loss, and that this cannot be helped by using a hearing aid. The last time he saw a specialist was at least ten years ago.

Can anyone tell me how I would find a reputable specialist would might be able to help DH, given that he has been told previously that he cannot be helped ? Is there ran equivalent of Moorfields hospital for ears, for example?? We are in Sussex but can easily get up to London.

TIA

As its been ten years since he's seen anyone I suggest going back to the docs to get referred to the hospital audiologist as a start.
I have a 'lower frequency' hearing loss plus tinnitus and was originally told I was unable to have a hearing aid however after having a change in my tinnitus noises and an mri, I am going to have one fitted in the next couple of weeks which may or not help my hearing but its worth a go
Talk to the doc and take things from there
