Ds is currently going through tests because the dr thinks he may be lactose intolerant. I've done quick searches on the net and red a little about the condition but does anyone know what I can give to ds instead of cheese, yog, bread, milk etc?? He really loves his cheese and yog.

you can buy soya yogurt and cheese from health food shops. Or if you are adventurous, you can make your own quite easily. try this (hope the link works!!!!)

woodpops, we are also trying dairy-free alternatives in our 2 year old DS. He has a near-constant runny nose and ears (yuck!). Offered soya milk but he didn't like it. He likes goats milk but it hasn't improved his symptoms. Now trying rice milk. How old is your DS? Sainsburys do a range of products but health food shops are a good place to look to. The Soya yoghurts are nice, but the most difficult product to replace seems to be cheese.
