Anyone have a dc who had a bad reaction?
If so,what was it,in fact any reaction at all?

Taking dd this afternoon and she had a horrendous reaction to measles....

three of them had it, no reactions here at all.

Good luck

Whoooosh · 19/03/2007 14:38

Oh good-she didn't really react to her chicken pox jab but after the measles experience I am a bit twitchy!

you had a chicken pox jab? Whereabouts are you?

Whoooosh · 19/03/2007 14:43

Hertfordshire.

wow! I didn't think it was available in this country at all. My doctor was ranting about the Americans having it, but we don't coz the government are too tight, meanwhile, his multimillion pound computer system wasn't working...... (and on and on) I only went in for a contraceptive jab!

Whoooosh · 19/03/2007 14:46

Oh I had to pay for it but reckoned if it saved her (and me) two weeks of hell and prevented her from scarring etc it was worth it.
I had it really badly and at least now I know that even if she does get it,it will be a milder dose.

What is it with GP's and computer systems?

OP posts:
fryalot · 19/03/2007 14:48

I don't think any of their computers work!

both mine had their separate measles, mumps and rubella at brakespeare - that's where you are going, right?

sorry to say but both were pretty ill after mumps but nothing too out of the ordinary.Temperature etc.

Whoooosh · 19/03/2007 17:20

Yes Donnie-that's where we went.

Not good to hear yout two weren't well but at least I am prepared for the worst.

Nothing (she says tempting fate) can be as bad as the Measles reaction I reckon so fingers crossed.
