Feeling very depressed after being diagnosed with it in my leg. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last July, had total hysterectomy and biopsies, lymph nodes etc removed. Diagnosed stage 1c2. Had 6 cycles of chemo and then got an all clear scan in March. Whilst on holiday in March I developed swelling in my leg, whole leg. Was referred and told it was lymphedema, chronic long term condition. Devastated after everything else. Have a ghastly thick full length stocking to wear, cant wear skirts/dresses, trousers cling to the stocking.........I hate it. Hoping I might hear words of hope or get some tips for those also suffering. Thank you. x

I'm sorry that you have to put up with this.

I have this (only on my arm, front and back so not that bad) after a double mastectomy and node removal. My lymph drainage therapist recommended swimming and general movement in water in addition to draining massages and a (sticky and sweaty) pressure sleeve with seperate glove.

It went down to a manageable size mostly because of the massage and the water, but it took about three years and won't go completely because the damage to the tissue is done.
