I had a Caesarian 4 years ago and have suffered with bladder problems on and off ever since. Straight afterwards I had urinary retention which improved on its own. But I have had on and off pelvic pain/uti symptoms ever since. Diagnosed with interstitial cystitis based on symptoms.
The bladder pain comes and goes but is always right where my Caesarian scar is. Just been reading up on adhesions after surgery and wondering if this could be what has caused my symptoms?
Consultant I saw for interstitial cystitis rubbished the idea that it could be related to Caesarian but my confidence in the medical profession is very low due to previous misdiagnoses of various things (for me and my children).
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of adhesions?
