I'm 36 and never been pregnant. I've noticed my periods getting worse over the last year or so. Heavier and lasting longer. Today I am day 4 and it hurts as much as day 1 plus all the added period extras . Is this normal as I get older? I've lost around a stone to get back to my normal bmi and I suffer from low blood pressure so I don't know if this is ok or not?

Could be many things OP. Best to speak to your GP

Could be a lot of things.... I think a chat with GP would be best. How is it today? I've always had heavy periods so know how you feel. How long do they last? If it's more than 7 days then it's really important to speak to your GP.

Hi thanks for the replies. It was ok yesterday and pretty much gone today. So 6 days more or less but that's up from my 3/4 it used to be. I used to be pretty light so didn't know if it was the aging process making it worse?
