Severe stomach pain/trapped wind - does anyone else get this?

I've had this problem for a fair few years now but it seems to be getting more frequent recently.

Every few days I will randomly get a very severe pain in my right side, then bloating and it turns out to be trapped wind. It's incredibly painful and I can't do anything except curl up in a ball and wait for it to pass once it happens.

My partner thinks I may be intolerant to something food-wise, but I can't seem to pin it down to one thing apart from I sometimes get it after eating certain types of bread.

Does anyone else have this issue and know what causes it? I feel stupid going to the GP about it as I feel like they won't be able to help me as it's not a constant issue. It's starting to effect me more recently though in day to day life. It happened this evening half way through my yoga class and i couldn't continue and it was very embarrassing Sad

I get this too. I've been put on a low fodmap diet which is very restrictive but does help, although mine is very bad ATM as my period is due and it always makes my ibs worse. I also take charcoal tablets, peppermint capsules and senocalm (not all at the same time though!) they help sometimes.
Bread is a non-non for me but I love the stuff 😰
There are also some really good vids on YouTube showing wind releasing exercises (word of warning though, don't do these with company around!!)

Oh, also I walk a lot that really helps too.

Snugglepalace I'll look up the YouTube videos for sure! It sounds like you have it much worse than me so I hope the diet works for you.
