Dd fell of my bed . Fractured wrist :(

Poor little sausage

We've been to A+E this morning and they said its a green stick fracture. Apparantly its not that bad but they said it will hurt for a while

She's 19m.

Her little arm looked so delicate on the x ray. She hated that. It was so scary for her.

They said if she falls on it again it may break more. She falls over a lot .

oh I am really sorry princessmel. Hope your DD has a quick recovery. I dread something like that happening with my DS you have my full sympathy!

They said 'try not to let her fall off the bed again' . I do try. Its just that she can get up all over the place now. I was right next to her when it happened aswell.

Dd2 done this, she went down a slide funny and ended up with a green stick fracture in her leg, she was 2. I remember A&E saying it wasn't broken, and she just fell funny, and when the xray came back they realised that she had a GS She was in plaster for 2 weeks.

Our doctor didn't think it was broken either but like you the x ray showed it was.

She hasn't got anything on it. They said they didn't have any splints small enough and that 'babies her age don't tollerate bandages very well'. Thats probably a good thing as its the wrist on the hand that she sucks her thumb.
