The tooth under that lump feels dead. It was hurting a few weeks ago but I stupidly ignored it. I don't know what the hell this is though?? Is it an infection or is that a tooth growing in?? If that's a tooth will it explain that the original tooth feels dead? If it's a tooth, will the dentist take it out (please say yes). The tooth under feels like it's being pushed and I'm can't eat on it because I'm scared if it cracks. What is going on in my mouth?!

Looks like a mouth ulcer to me.

I would go to your dentist for the rest of your stuff. I wouldn't for an ulcer, because I tend to get them when I'm rundown. But if you don't usually get them (and I'm guessing you don't, else this thread wouldn't exist,) then it's worth getting it checked.

I would say that you have an infection under the tooth and the pressure from that has pushed a head out into your gum. The pain a few weeks ago was the nerve dying, so you'll probably need a root canal once the infection is cleared up.

That's how mine looked whenever I've had an abscess. I never had pain with it (except right before I needed it taken out -but that was months after I first noticed the infection). Sometimes it clears up on its own or you need antibiotics but the best thing to stop getting the infection is to have it extracted.
