Anyone tried the Bowen Technique?

Just had a session in Neals Yard remedies. Feeling a bit skeptical about it as didn't seem to be doing much? Would appreciate anyone else's experience.

Both my husband and I have had Bowan and yes I agree it seems an odd one! However my husband's bad back is always helped and my swollen knees (38 going on 90!)

The good thing about Bowan is that it is usually a short course so considerably cheaper than some alternative therapies where you find yourself still going a year later (££££).

Anyway, you'll know whether you are right to be skeptical if it works or not.

I give it a thumbs up. Is it too nosey to ask why you went??

Not me, but dp has had Bowen therapy for long-standing shoulder injury. We both do classes in Feldenkrais technique regularly (good for general flexibility of movement and developing awareness) but he supplements this with a few sessions of Bowen when his shoulder gets strained, usually sports related.

I went just for general tiredness and pregnancy complaints! Not sleeping properly at the moment. It'll be difficult to tell if it works or not as I am also desperately trying other sleeping aids too!

DP had a few sessions a year or so ago (for a shoulder problem I think) -he loved it, found it very relaxing and even used to fall asleep during the session )
