Hypnotherapy

I suffer from anxiety/panic attacks and also a blood phobia connected to it and have done so for nearly 10 years now. Ive decided to bite the bullet and to go to a hypnotist or hypnotherapist, not sure which they are called, but I am unsure how to go about finding a good one. I live in North West of England and wondered if anyone else had ever been to one and how they were put in touch?

Thanks x

I've had 2 sessions of Hypnotherapy ( I'm scared - terrified of the dentist) I'm not to sure yet how I feel - I'll let you know after a few more sessions (pricy tho'

Oh thanks Katie. I have a blood phobia and it also means I am petrified of things like going to dentists and to a lesser extent doctors! How many sessions have they recommended u have and how do you find the person you go to?

Didn't do it myself but my friend to one. She had a really painful knee - had had replacement and everyting but it was still painful.Hypnotherapy was a last resort before trying to get pg and therefore come off painkillers. She only had one session and didn't take any painkillers for over a year! She went back when she was pg to help with pain relief in labour. She would swear by it. Not local to you I'm afraid but maybe her experience will encourage you?
