8 month old refluxes at night and now refusing savoury foods - what to do?

My 8 month old daughter has started 'refluxing' at night or at her last meal around 5pm. She empties her stomach with a startling and severe vomit. She has never done this before and its really odd how she only does it at the end of the day or during the night.
Doctor has prescribed Gavison and this has calmed it down but she now refuses savoury foods and will only take yoghurt/fromage frais and little bits of fruit.
Savoury makes her gag and I am worried that she may associate it with vomitting.
She is only taking half of her (formula) milk feed too.
What can I do?

Sorry don't know much about reflux but bumping this for you.

bump and if nothing comes along you could try posting this under the breast and bottle feeding topic.

Latest development is that I can get her to take her milk if I give it in 2 staggered 'doses' with sufficient time between each serving (20-30 mins), so that's good news.
She's still off her savouries and the Health Visitor reckons she's pulling my strings.
I'm not sure about this, but the Health Visitor says not to give her yoghurt/fromage frais but to offer savoury and if she won't take it, just put it aside but not to 'reward' her with sweet stuff.
I was giving sweet stuff because it seemed better for her to have something rather than nothing. HV says I need to call her bluff and not skip straight to pudding as I have been doing.
Not sure which way to jump on this as I'm still concerned that she may associate savoury with vomitting.
No sick for 2 nights now. Yay.
