can kids (or anyone) get thrush on their bottom?

i posted yesterday about ds2 (8) who has had an itchy bottom and then blood when wiping it.

i also noticed spots around it, which are also on the top of his legs

and, he has what appears to be whitish looking patches of something on his pyjama bottoms and underpants.

i have just googled thrush and all i found was stuff about sexual abuse and the like so bit perturbed.

have an appointment at 5:30pm
can anyone help before then?

could be sweat/heat rash? prickly heat/hives?

Yes they can get thrush on their bottom.
You do see things like this reasonably commonly, but good to check out at GPs

thanx, but would thrush cause bleeding though?

the spots are more on his bum cheeks btw

Yes it could, in that it would be sore like a nappy rash, and the anus could be a little cracked so it is bleeding when pooing
