no

There was a programme a couple of weeks ago and it said it makes no difference. You don't have to drink tons of water. They tested identical twins and there was no difference in their skin anyway after that time.

Not of plain water. You don't need to (unless you exercise a lot) as there is so much in your food. Fruit and veg are mostly water after all. Despite being diuretics, net net, you increase your water intake whilst drinking even tea and coffee.

I drink a lot of weak sugar-free Robinson's type dilutable juice and probably about half a litre of water. I am definitely not dehydrated. You can tell you're not if your pee is almost clear or very light coloured. If it's very yellow (always like early morning pees), you probably need to drink more.

I admit to struggling to drink 2 litres of water!
A relative has been told by a Specialist to drink minimum of 3 litres a days as she suffers from gall stones (recurrent) and that it's not an option not to drink less than that. I count myself lucky and keep the kettle on / fruit juice etc.

alcyone · 06/03/2007 09:56

I drink too much coke

I must admit to feeling far more energetic and clear-headed drinking water. Anyone else?

zippitippitoes · 06/03/2007 09:57

it's a myth put about why bottled water manufacturers

diet coke makes me want to pee all the time

bonus it strengthens bladder so don't need to always get up in the night

alcyone · 06/03/2007 09:58

16 weeks without ciggies
3 weeks no choc
1 day lots of water
Must feel benefits soon?!
If i can get out of bathroom

isn't it the caffeine in diet coke that makes you want to pee all the time?

I try; if you drink more your bladder gets used to the volume and you don't need to go as much

certainly feel less tired and less inclined to eat shite

alcyone · 06/03/2007 10:00

Ztoes, if i drink equal amounts of water and coke ishould be ok in the toilet dept

Flumpybumpy · 06/03/2007 10:04

dandycandyjellybean · 06/03/2007 10:06

Yes but only white wine!

alcyone · 06/03/2007 10:32

Nurse friend informed me last night that i was badly dehydrated, (kept prodding my skin and nails?) got me a little concerned......he was gorging on kit kat at the time and rolling a ciggarette.
Think he is a liar.

i do for last 3 weeks. Skin is amazing and bags under eyes all but gone.

alcyone · 06/03/2007 10:47

i bought cream for eye bags
Makes them all shiny.
If it gets rid of them, probably worth all the peeing.
