First appointment with dermatologist for acne - what to expect?

DS has been suffering with acne for several years, he has an appointment with the dermatologist next week, anyone been there and done that and can give me an idea what will happen?

Thanks mymate Neither the dermatologist or GP have said he needs to come off the antibiotics, i hope that isn't something they spring at the last minute. GP has now prescribed the same antibiotics for DS2 but is making a referral for him to the Dermatologist too. Looks like they may end up drug buddies going through it together.

There is a BBC documentary which looks at acne and roaccutane which is on iPlayer rn - might be worth a watch
