DD's nursery has had children on and off with chicken pox for weeks. So far DD hasn't caught it but this pm she's been feeling slightly unwell and was sick tonight. What are the symptoms of chicken pox prior to the spots and if she does get it, what would be good for the itching? I've heard of putting baking soda in the bath and piriton syrup, anyone tried these? and other un/successful remedies?

fever, aching limbs, general feeling of being unwwell. The spots come out a couple of days later. Piriton, eurax lotion and calamine lotion are good to have in. Also phenergan to get them to sleep through the night when they are itchy.

I hope your dd feels better soon
