Can't get out today for medicatiion as ds ill, but face really hurts. I've had an awful cold a few days ago, but still feel deaf, and my cheeks and head hurt - i've had a anadin. I have a bad pain behind my eye, it feels hot and teary. Feels like when i get a migraine but it's not. Any ideas? or for a good medicine when i can get out! thanks

Sympahies

i get sinusitis and it is horrid

I know it sounds vile but sniffing warm water can really help

also steaming over a bowl of hot water is good, then blowing nose a lot

no real tips other than leaning forward a lot to let them drain and massaging gently along the sore bits (eye sockets, nose etc) to see if you can help the swelling. i'm the same right now. i quite like sinutab but am inhaling vicks sinex as it's the only thing in the house.
you have my sympathy, it's rubbish.

Steam inhaltion. Sudafed is good when you do get out - there are ones availiable with paracetamol as well. Do you have an Vicks at all - either the stuff you rub in or the inhaler type? they are both good as well for clearing the sinuses

ooh I might have some vicks lurking somewhere, will go search!
I 've felt lousy for a week now, I've never had this sinus lark after the worst bit of a cold!

try the nose strips as they work for me as i suffer from sinus pains due to me possibly got an allergy but im waiting to find out the results

Get your head over a bowl of steam to help drain the sinuses. If it really hurts it's safe to take paracetamol and ibuprofen together. Or you can take paracetamol then ibuprofen two hours later, then paracetamol 2 hrs later so you get continuous pain relief. Poor you, hope you feel better soon.

the vick in the bowl has made a big difference. Finally now my headache/eyeache has gone, and the deafness has lifted a little! thank you!
