dentistry mystery

All the pointydogs were visiting their new NHS dentist today for a check up (free gratis, bien sur!). It's bringing out the Johnny in me.

ANyway, bit confused.

Been going to same private dentist for last 4+ years. Kids' teeth always fine apparently.

And today's new dentist said they both have overbites (well, dd2 is a sideyways bite but won't bore you with all the details) and she will refer them to orthodontist for correction.

So how come other dentist never mentioned this?

(I suppose unless there's a dentist on here, no one will be able to help with this post. Done now...)

I don't know, but I have an overbite and nothing was ever done about it, plus my friends dds have this and for the slightly younger one apparantly they will have to pay for her brace as it is now seen as cosmetic treatment!
