when my period is due I get sore boobs. So I know it will come a few days later. My sore boobs are he only discomfort I feel.

The bleeding starts and I only need one pad a day (change more for comfort). I've never leaked as there is no where near enough blood to leak.

After one day the bleeding stops completely . If I used no pad at all it wouldn't soak through any clothes but obviously would be unhygienic.

If I use a tampon at night I won't have any leaks by the morning.

I've always thought everyone was like this until one of my friends told me she can't lie on her front during her period or the blood will leak into her bed!!!

I get no pain. No mood swings.

I would say I lose about one tablespoon of blood a period. I am completely fertile as the one time I had sex without a condom I got pregnant and now have a Son. Periods have stayed light since he was born.

So is this very unusual? I've never once taken any medication if any kind, no contraception just the odd paracetamol.

I don't know how usual or unusual it is but your periods are definitely much, much lighter than mine! (Not a stealth post Grin )

Is it safe to sleep in tampons btw? It might be, but I have it in my head that you shouldn't...

I think the guidelines are you shouldn't but I never follow them. I rarely do sleep in them, just thtold off time

Sleeping in tampons is fine as long as you don't exceed 8 hours.

Cherryskypie · 04/01/2017 20:27

You must be the person the period leaflet is based on, when they say you only lose half an eggcup of blood each month!

CloudPerson · 04/01/2017 20:32

You lucky, lucky thing Envy

BikeRunSki · 04/01/2017 20:35

That is very light, but I guess you wouldn't know unless you have detail period discussions with lots of other women.

I am so jealous!
I am having a hysterectomy later this month due to heavy periods and other issues so there is an end in sight for me.

I've always had heavy periods but for the last 15-20 years I have had to use a minimum of 3 maternity pads at a time and change at least once an hour - I lose pints of blood and have to take changes of clothes to work as if I;be been sitting for a while and stand up the blood rushes out so quickly it soaks me right up to my belly button and completely through all my padding. In the last couple of years I've started using incontenance pads as they are more absorbent and have a larger footprint (fannyprint :)? )

GummyGoddess · 04/01/2017 20:41

You're supposed to only lose half an eggcup? I lose an eggcup a day for 6 days assuming mooncup is around half an eggcup! Plus the stomach and back pain along with D&V.

I am envious and now wondering if I should see a doctor.

acornsandnuts · 04/01/2017 20:44

I'm very like you and also so regular it's near to the hour on a 28 day cycle.

I do think I'm lucky when I talk to friends. I have two girls so just hope they have the same experience.

SortAllTheThings · 04/01/2017 20:47

Yep, same. My sister too. Also incredibly regular.

Hellish PMT though, and increased levels of pain the week before, which is fun (I have chronic pain, but it's fairly well managed the rest of the time)

babyapril · 04/01/2017 20:47

I'm the same. Have been since l started. Now 45. Actually they are getting even lighter actually- kind of makes sense as l'm getting older.
No problems conceiving either - straight away...
however Mother Nature got me back big time by blessing me with the most horrendous morning sickness. Day and night with all 3.

pklme · 04/01/2017 20:54

Shut up, shut up, shut up! That's not fair. Putting my fingers in my ears and singing la,la,la

user1483474832 · 04/01/2017 21:03

I use a moo cup. I empty it twice a day and it's about an eight full each time. Whole period is about a quarter I would guess if that

You've no idea how lucky you are.

My periods, when I have them, are horrific. I'm getting a hysterectomy in the next few months as a result. Cannot wait!
