Excessive weeing in 6 year old

My daughter has recently started peeing all the time! She doesn't seem ill at all, she says that it doesn't hurt her (no itching/burning or anything) and she has no excessive thirst - just drinking normally. Nonetheless, we just got back from a restaurant and she had a large glass of lemonade whilst there. She went to the loo twice during the meal and 4 times within a 2 hour period since we got back. This can't be normal!!?
She doesn't appear distressed by it - the wee looks normal enough - not particularly dark or anything but she does seem to go all the time! She goes at least once in the night although never wets the bed.... anyone got any ideas??
Thanks!

Hi amandella.
Not alot of people know this .....
Lemonade is a diuretic and will cause anyone to wee more. My little boy who is five and has been dry for 3 years actually wet himself the other day after a big glass of lemonade.
So think back and see if these 'attacks' always happen after the fizzy stuff??
Plus from experience kids like using the facilities whilst out. My son always likes to check out the rest of the restaurant and using different routes to the loo satisfies his nosiness.
Hope that helps.

Drinks other than water, milk or fresh juice can make my dd run to the loo, Amandella, so maybe it's the same for your dd. In fact orange squash makes me rush off for the bathroom! Hth.
