Ovarian Cysts and Sex Lives...?

Was diagnosed with a cyst on my left ovary in November. I had my second internal camera thingy examination last Thursday and am waiting to see my GP to see the report. (Whether it's grown etc)

I am in pain most days and I find sex quite uncomfortable sometimes. And even when I don't, I'm never really in the mood because I have constant pelvic/ abdominal pain and I'm also nearly constantly on my period. I might have 2 weeks off the month off if I'm lucky.

How does/ did everyone else maintain a sex life with a cyst, or did you? I'm scared sex will do more damage too

Hi i had a cyst removed last year and felt the same. We would have sex, very gentle and not very deep was ok but if it hurt we stopped.i had an honest conversation with dh to say i still wanted sex but was in pain and worried. To me sex is an important part of the relationship some might just not have any. The surgeon did say sex would be ok (i did ask).

Re your constant period, i had a merina coil fitted and havent had a period for 6 years. Best thing i ever did.
