Me and DP have had the horrible "itchy bottom syndrome" since Christmas and it's driving us nuts. DD1 doesn't seem to be bothered.... can anyone recommend a decent over-the-counter rememdy that works fast?!

Thanks!

Anything that your chemist gives you- we had a Boots proprietary threadworm tablet.

You have to give 2 doses 2 weeks apart. All members of the family should have the drug.

Other measures- good hot wash for all bed linen and towels. Wash bottoms all round every morning.

Wear pants in bed to stop scratch bottom-suck thumb cycle (and change them for clean ones in morning, obviously!Sorry, but had to point this out to DH!)

Scrupulous hand washing after toilet and before meals

Cut nails and scrub with soap
