Pain in the bum (health related, not a rant about a family member)

I'll just say if like it is. For some time now my anus has been itching horribly. It's so bad it feels like a direct pain. It's inside my bum rather than out but only just. It is not threadworms. What the hell is it? It HURTS.

Piles???

DH has had a look (I know, I know) and announced nothing out of the ordinary. Whatever ordinary is. I don't tend to look at my anus!

Hmm. Does this mean I have to go to the GP?

Try a high fibre diet, drink lots of water & use over the counter medications first. Lots available & they should clear up without a doctor visit.

Haemorrhoids can itch like crazy. Make an appointment with GP - they'll know exactly what to look for
