... but only from my left eye! I thought it might be hay fever at first but I'm guessing now I have a blocked tear-duct. Its not painful at all but looks quite angry. I'll show it to a chemist tomorrow, but does anyone else have any experience of this or any treatment for it??

when ds2 had it as a newborn they recommended breast milk squirted onto it!

misdee · 18/06/2004 22:19

massage gently the area by the eye/bridge of nose.

thanks, hmmm .. not sure I can manage the breast milk anymore. But the massage sounds like a good idea.. any more ideas?

Certainly TT (love the name) I had my eyes lasered and, at a checkup, someone rang my surgeon with exactly the same thing. He said, unfortunately, there is nothing that you can do for it. What about a steam vapour to try and clear it. Are you sure it's not hay fever as my eye tends to stream and I use Beckonase for a few weeks to clear it up.

pretty sure its not hay fever - happens all day/night indoors and out, no itching and its only in the one eye...

sounds like conjunctivitis to me - some drops from the chemist called Golden Eyes would fix that quickly. If you still have probs, try your pharmacist tomorrow to see if he thinks it is conjunctivitis
