Dd1 covered in a flat red rash

On wednesday night I noticed that Dd1 (9) had a flat red rash on her thighs and the tops of her arms, she said it itched a little bit but went to bed fine not hot or anything.

By the morning it was almost gone, but today she has got up and it's all over her face but mainly her cheeks, and then all over her legs, arms and chest. She said she feels fine, not ill at all. She is slightly warm to touch but definatly not hot and doesn't really have any cold symptoms although she was a bit snuffly last week.

Any ideas ???

Oh and she is meant to be at ballet today, she can't go can she ??

Well, it depesnds, if rash is like flat little blisters I would thing of Chickenpox, but just flat red zones can be anything.

Not sure about the ballet class today thiugh

No it's definatly not blisters so not chickenpox.

My friends dd has just had slapped cheek, so googled that and it fits almost 100%. Slight cold symptoms before coming out in a flat red lacy rash.

Apparently once the rash is out you are no longer contagious but I'm still not sure her ballet teach would be impressed if she stood there covered in it, or the other parents for that matter.
