Hi - I am off to see the GP later and had to take a wee sample to test for diabetes (family history plus symptoms)

My wee is very pale almost like water is this a good sign or not?

Wonder what else causes all those symptoms?

My mum jsut assumed it was diabetes as my nana had it

i am v surprised that list of symptoms doesnt add up to diabetes

hope you ar ok x

If it is what is the most likely outcome

Nana controlled it by diet - so I guess I would too

yes katy - late onset diabetes is usually type II - diet controlled

some people take oral medication, but it is unlikely insulin injections would be required

did the gp send some blood off to the lab? and/or urine?

Katymac · 15/02/2007 14:09

no neither I to have a blood test in a few weeks

I'm feeling really rough tonight

Nothing specific

'cept maybe my kidneys/back are quite sore/achy

I wonder if it's an infection (mind you it has gone on at least a fortnight if it is)
