Nicorette

I've recently given up smoking and am chomping my way through vast quantities of nicorette (about 12 4mg a day) - is that also harmful though? and why do I freqently get an odd burning sensation in my mouth when I chew a piece for more than 15 mins or so?!

any advice/suggestions for alternative nicotine replacement therapy would be much appreciated!!

DH has been sucking Niquitin CQ lozenges since I was pregnant with ds (he turned 2 in december). His doctor said it wouldn't do him any harm, (apart from the cost of them ).
