Can't exercise for 3 weeks after surgery?

I had endoscopic day surgery yesterday, felt absolutely fine when I got home yesterday afternoon.
I have been told no work for 2 weeks and no exercise for 3 weeks, it's been a day and I'm struggling with the no exercise rule already.
If I feel ok would exercising really be a bad thing?

Just because you feel fine and have no external wound you do have internal wounding and need to invest time in your body's recovery. I'd take the doctors advice
