Update on DH , 3 month scan

Dh had his three months scan on Friday and we got to talk over the results with the doc. Unfortunatly they didn't have his original scan (done in another hospital) so they couldn't do a direct comparison (they will do that over the next two weeks).

The good news is that the tumours in the liver must be responding to treatment since there is no fliud build up.....befire xmas poor dh had to have 9 L for fliud removed.

Becausre of this positive response the doc wants to continue with the joint treatment for a further 3 months. While she didn't want to be pressed for a 'time scale' she did agree that a prognosis of longer than 6 months might now be a possibility!

So the news was as good as it could be.

Dh is mildly anaemic, but not enough to stop treatment, but he will have a blood transfusion the end of the week to make sure he is in good shape for the trip to disney!

I didn't think he would still be with me at this point, so we are very lucky!

Oh MB that is wonderful news to hear that you have the gift of more time just when you need it: it is so precious, and most of us squander it without thinking....have a wonderful break and remember that in the end we give memories, not possessions, for our children to remember us by xxx

Glad the news was good, you must have been dreading that appointment.

When are you going to Disney?

pleased for you mb,enjoy disney

that is really good news. And it is even better that the medication seems to be able to give you quality time together rather than just prolonging the pain he was suffering last year. Long may it last.

Enjoy your holiday.
