Costs of a private hysterectomy?

Currently just wishful thinking but DH is due a bonus next year so we might be able to do it. Having a terrible time on the NHS so far and am just wondering how much it would cost to have one privately? I need a posterior wall repair and also perineorrhaphy as well. If anyone has a recent ballpark I'd really appreciate it thank you Flowers

Dr Google is very helpful for questions like this.

You need to search your local private hospital websites.
Don't forget to check if they include the fee for the anaeth. and surgeon.
Might be around £6K for the op.

Sorry I did give it a google, Bupa told me to phone and a MN thread from 2012 popped up. Just wondered if there was more recent costings. Thank you for the ballpark figure, it helps. Just scared of hidden charges which is why I thought I'd ask people not companies Smile

Try doing it in stages; choose your surgeon, find out where they do surgery ( can be several places), phone for fees inc the hospital (that will be theatre time and overnight stays) anaesth and surgeons. As a private patient you will also be charged for all medication etc that you might need. Ask the hospital for an all-in fee.

I had mine done privately, they had an all-in price and didn't even charge more when I needed extra blood and an iron infusion as the fibroids had left me dangerously anaemic. I'm not in the uk, but I think mine was about 4-6k€
