calpol can be given every 4 hrs. ibuprofen every 6 hrs. so if you are taking them together give them alternately every 3 hours. don't know dosage off hand for 6 mth old.

Coolmama · 12/02/2007 19:35

dosage is half a teaspoon.

ja9 · 12/02/2007 19:37

i thought dosage was different for calpol and ibuprofen... that might just be for older children tho'.

Coolmama · 12/02/2007 19:40

sorry - that's the dose for Calpol.

Calpol

TBH, I'm not sure I'd give them together to a 6 month old baby though.

kbaby · 12/02/2007 21:26

what does anyone else think? should I give both.

Ive given him a tepid bath and his temp is down slightly. The gp said its just a virus and to keep him cool.

Problem is hes burning up every hr or so.
