High Temperature

One of my charges at nursery today has been a bit 'under the weather' since having his MMR last week. However, today within the last 2 hours of the day, he turned bright red, refused water (and other fluids), had a temperature bordering on 104 and was really, really drowsy.

We didn't call home because it was almost home time anyway but when dad came to collect him, he stood there, took one look at the little lad and laughed ! He didn't seem bothered in the slightest and it really made me cross. The little one is only just a year old.

Bet he'll be back at nursery tomorrow...

He was being sponged down and we had a fan on in the room (it was really hot in there too), he's not allowed calpol and the decision not to ring his parents was made by the managment, unfortunately.

Had I had my way, I would have called them.
