I am probably being very dim, but I'm in the process of buying things for our soon to come (I hope) bub, and have noticed that lots of the baby healthcare packs/kits have a magnet in them..... WHY?

For retrieving ball berings out of noses?

Heavens know? Not sure I've ever come across one before. Must be some new thing. Are you sure that it is a magnet? It's not a temperature strip?

Must be the ball bearing nose thing! The info on the packet def said 'magnet' so unless someone somewhere is just having a bit of a laugh on us mums who'll buy everything we're told we'll need....
