fever and teething

my wee man has a fever of 38.6 today (and yesterday) and is chewing on his hands and dribbling a bit, as well as having a slightly runny bottom.

I was fairly confident that he was just teething as he seems otherwise very bright and is eating well and chatting away, but having read the internet it says that fever is not a symptom of teething....

what do you think?

DS sometimes runs a fever at the moment, and I'm sure it's linked to teeth. I think there's some debate over whether there's a connection. Calpol should help with both teething pain and fever though

Yup - Ds is 15 months. He is teething like a demon but also has a bit of a fever. Yesterday he was very under the weather but seems brighter today

thanks guys - i called our gp who said i was to bring him along at 6.30 "just to be on the safe side"......will put my mind at rest if nothing else.

The odd thing is he has these "teething" eposodes, but so far hardly any teeth..... strange boy.
