Does this sound like seizues to you?

DH neurologist suggested that DH may start to have seizures he has been having weird smells & taste for a while, he is now not allowed to drive. twice last night he seemed a bit strange in that he seemed tuned out and sort of staring but didn't respond when i spoke to him, he later couldn't recall this. are these absenses?

The Paed explained to me about the phasing out things (my ASd sons do it)- if its without a trigger (eg, too much noise / interaction) then its a clear sign of epilepsy- the extra smells etc would confirm that

i don't think it's phasing out DS was tested for epilepsy prior to ASD dx.
