Painful calf

Afternoon all

I had a suspected blood clot, almost 2 years ago, when i was pregnant with DD.

I had a venogram, scan and was declared blood clot free. However, my twin sister has had 2 spontaneous DVTs and my mum has had one.

I was put on low dose aspirin for the remainder of my pregnancy, and never told what was wrong with my leg

I had gone to the docs ,with a hot , swollen, calf, unable to bend my leg and foot properly to walk....my right calf measured bigger than my left..but it was not a clot

anyhoo, i still have intermittent pain in the same calf, and today it is really quite bad. it does really hurt. am a bit scared actually.

the pain is always the same place and varies in how painful...so, tell me it is just a bruise or a spasm please !

it is half term and i have not got time to go to the docs !

there is always someone in the labs as there is always a need for blood results etc, you would get the d-dimers back tonight, what you wouldnt get is a scan, you would be asked to come back tomorrow for a scan, so if d-dimers were + they perform the pleth test, if thats +then you will possibly be given some clexane, sent home and asked to return tomorrow for a scan
