He's been poorly on and off all week with his temp going up and down. At it's worse the temp reaches over 39 degrees.
But when he's been cooled down (tepid sponging/calpol etc) he doesn't seem to bad, just slightly more wingy etc.

He has been off his food and milk, although he is still eating and drinking a little.

Anyway, tonight we noticed a rash on his torso, I've just been up to check on him, and the rash has spread, it doesn't disappear with the glass either - but he has a lowish temp of 37.7.

I'm not that worried - just wanted to check that it's ok to not be too worried?

My ds1 had a thing when he was about 1 called roseola, which is apparently characterised by a fever for some days and then just when the fever goes they get a rash on their body. Roseola is very common in children under 2 (I learned from the internet). So it might be that.

I just posted a thread a couple of days ago about my DS having a rash and a temp as well - it was a kind of spidery rash that started on his face and spread down his torso until eventually it reached is hands and feet. He's ok-ish on calpol/ibuprofen but a bit whingy and not eating much. Have seen the doc and we think it's just one of these viral things- possibly fifth disease and he should be better in a couple of days.

Your DS probably has something similar but if your worried, especially with a rash, I would always get it checked out by someone.

Thanks everyone. Ds is much much better today and the rash, although still visible, has really faded so I'm glad we didn't rush off to a&e! I think it was viral maybe rosela as it did all sound very familiar when I checked out the million rash websites there are!!
