why does dry air (heating) kicked off my sinuses?

as everytime my mum put her electric stove fire on its kicked my sinuses off

because there's no moisture in the air, the nasal passages have to work harder maybe?

can't say as i've had that prob but soemhitng similar happens when in an overheated room and it's all stuffy. hope you feel better x
