phone NHS direct - if it is aching so much you need a hot water bottle and you have had a baby recently they may think you should have it checked straight away.

Is it situated on the veined area and is there either a brown stain to it or is it very red?

TenaLady · 10/02/2007 11:29

my first thought would be phlebitis or even cellulitus but I would of thought you would of had fast action for these two conditions not wait for an appointment.

TenaLady · 10/02/2007 11:30

if doc has seen it then maybe he/she is thinking grisly growth under skin.

Debbsyandson · 10/02/2007 11:30

hi no its not red but yes it is by a vein a broken vein dr didnt seem unduly worried about that though.

a mystery then! You have done the right thing. I would call doctors when they are open and have a chat with them again.

OR if you are anything like me and get all worked up about these things, take yerself off down A&E.

Debbsyandson · 10/02/2007 11:34

i will do thanks

DimpledThighs · 10/02/2007 18:57

Let us know how you get on.

Debbsyandson · 10/02/2007 20:28
