My DD is 4 months and 2 weeks and each time we sit her up she sits with her head to one side. Should I be worried? Or do I just need to wait for it to strengthen? She can hold her neck straight but only for less than a minute.
First time mummy!

pmoore - ask HV then think about taking her to a craniosacral therapist. Can't remember how your delivery was but it could be she has tension on that side or has a preferential side - a cranio would be able to help ease any underlying tissue/muscles probs and it's very gentle.

I am bumping this really as I have nothing new to advise...
I would check with the HV as well, and if you are still concerned then you can ask to see your GP

might be just that her neck isn't fully strong enough yet - make sure you lie her on her tummy during play-time so that she can strengthen it.
Oh, and ask your HV too.

pmoore - i second craniosacral therapy. we noticed at about 6 weeks that my dd rarely put her head to one side and was uncomfortabe feeding one way. we took her for CS therapy and the therapist mentioned a tension (she had a v traumatic birth). two visits and she was sorted - now no problems at 5 months. good luck.
