Any Yasmin pill users been switched to Dretine?

Just that really. Went to the Dr for my prescription this week and they switched me to Dretine, “a branded generic version of Yasmin”. Saw on the computer screen Yasmin costs circa £27/3 months and Dretine £8/3 months. I'm all for saving the NHS money and enquired if it was exactly the same and the Dr assured me it is, so I agreed. Interested to know if anyone else has been switched and if they’ve noticed any differences at all? Been on Yasmin 8 years with no problems myself.

Not noticed it where I am but then we weren't ever allowed to prescribe Yasmin anyway. I'm in the lothians and the prescribing budget for general practice is being cut again by £2 million pounds. By every surgery making small changes this is how they get their savings. It's pretty dire financially in healthcare at the moment

I'm on Yasmin, but I find the generic (name eludes me but it is the same compound) is just the same. Also Yasmin causes blood clots at a higher rate than other pills.

I was on Yasmin and got swapped to Lucette (another generic with same ingredients) 12-18 months ago and I haven't noticed any difference.
I went through several to find what suited me before being happy with Yasmin, Lucette is just as good for me.
