Poorly DS2 - advice please!

OK, DS2 has gone down with some nasty throwing up bug today. He's fine in himself, but can't keep anything down including water. We're just about to go to MILs via a pharmacy so any suggestions as to the best treatment?

Would diaorlyte (sp?) help, even for the 15 mins or so he can keep it down. Shoukd I try and get him to eat something or let him starve it out?

DS1 has now decided that he needs an ice lolly too, as he was almost sick!
