If you have hypothyroidism how often do you have your BP checked?

Just talking about BP on another thread and I wondered if anyone else gets called in yearly to get their BP checked?

My anxiety is pretty bad this evening so I'm now wondering if there is another reason the GP likes to check mine yearly. Maybe it isn't thyroid related at all and it was higher than it should be last time and he just didn't tell me (I never ask for numbers) Hmm

Well I'm hypothyroid. My BP gets checked because I'm ageing, post menopausal, take various meds and on one occasion had a high reading (had run upstairs, dd was ill, was on naproxen). GP seems to need to note my lowish levels at every consultation now.

Ask for a print out and if there are anomolies ask why.

No never here. I think some GP surgeries do this as a matter of course.
