This could be lengthy so apologies in advance! Also new to posting.

Just looking for some reassurance as have numerous symptoms in the last month to two months, very light periods almost spotting like (I am on the merina coil but for the two years I've had it they've need normal light to medium flow), cramping in my right side, a heavy or full feeling in the whole of my stomach, tender stomach, heavy discharge usual and no odor but huge amounts, headaches, dizziness, nausea, insomnia (probably from worry!), lower backache normally right hand side and most recent was an incredible sharp pain just as me amd dh started to have sex. It hurt so much I burst into tears, after having two children I didn't think id feel worse pain than contractions!

Sorry for lengthy list, did warn!

Treated last Tues for what they suspected was a uti but still have the same symptoms just a bit less shitty.
Has anyone had anything similar to this and got answers?
Am thinking a cyst or something much worse. Docs on tues to check my coil. Can't come soon enough.

Could be so many things. Could the contraception have failed? I'd be worrying about ectopic pregnancy.

I've done a total of four pregnancy test in the last month as I would put money on the fact i was pregnant. All negative. Today was the first day I should have definitely been able to test and still neg. No period though.
Would an ectopic be detected on a home pregnancy test do you know?

Do you think the mirena coil could be to blame?

lovegem89 · 05/10/2016 20:40

Coil has been fine for the two years I've had it so far so not sure. Had a coil check Tuesday and all fine and in place. They have taken swabs to look for infections. Will ultrasound moat likely of the swans come back clear.

I only ask because my friend had horrendous symptoms and googled mirena coil. She decided to have it removed, all the symptoms went within a fortnight. Could be coincidence though, hard to know for sure.
