Constipation / Cow's Milk

Hi
My DD1 is a year old (today in fact!!). Recently she's been getting more and more constipated and really struggling when having a poo. I've been weaning her off formula by adding cows milk to her formula and gradually reducing the amount of formula iyswim. Anyway she's been getting more and more constipated. Is this related?

Thanks

Anna

My ds has same problem, he is 2. Him and i have problems digesting the sugar in milk - lactase- so I get drops from a company called Biocare. You put in 4 drops per pint of milk and 24hrs later the milk is fine and easy to digest. His bowels completely change when i give him the treated milk, he goes fine . Can find the phone number is you want it.
The milk actually tastes sweeter after i have treated it, so he loves it.

Do you heat the cows milk? It gets harder again to digest if it goes above a certain temp. My mother discovered this with me when I was a baby. She was boiling and cooling my cows milk... which GP eventually realised and told her it was actually a cure for diarrhoea.
