Been away for the weekend, DH had both children, get back today, notice DS has a spot under his eye.. and on his neck.. you can guess the rest. He's covered in 22 spots so far and DH hadn't even noticed!

What are the odds of DD (9) coming down with it so she missed the school valentine disco on Friday that she so dessppperrattely wants to go to???!!!!

where do you live so i can expose ds2 to it. as for dd yep i think she will get it but maybe another few days fingers crossed

kid · 04/02/2007 19:38

From DD having CP, there was another 18 days before DS got his first spots, so you never know, your DD might be able to go to the disco still.

Polgara2 · 04/02/2007 20:25

14 days between dd2 and dd1 getting it.

Sheraz · 04/02/2007 20:26

CP is awful. They vaccinate against in Australia, wish they would here, it is a vile virus!

donnie · 04/02/2007 20:27

the odds are very high !

wangle99 · 04/02/2007 20:32

We are all scratching now lol

I wish DD would get it, I had it when I was 16 years old and it was HELL. Wouldn't wish that on anyone. I had spots inside places you really don't want them

Eurax cream is the business for the itching btw

funnypeculiar · 04/02/2007 20:34

wraggle99 can I bring ds to yours and rub him up & down on your ds - now would be a convenient time for him to have it...

We have just been through this! See my thread here for handy hints. We bought most of the chemist and found the calamine aqueous (sp?) cream worked well. Also we ended up giving her phenergan to help her sleep at night. I wish we had done that a couple of days earlier.

wangle99 · 04/02/2007 20:46

I'm in Cornwall anyone near enough is welcome to come for a chickenpox party

Thanks Mordecai am going to the chemist tomorrow to buy whatever I can, have given DS calpol tonight as temp slightly raised.

bit far for me lol up north of scotland

ledodgy · 04/02/2007 22:08

Welcome to the club! Ds's spots have just crusted over and dd's first ones came out on Friday night. I'm also not well and noticed a few spots on my chest but they aren't itchy yet so am hoping it's not the pox!

ledodgy · 04/02/2007 22:10

Oh on another thread someone said not to give piriton until you think the last of the spots come out because it suppresses them coming up and makes it lasts longer. I think this maybe true as I gave ds piriton from the start and he got fresh blisters 7 days after he got the first lot!

I know but I thought seven days was a bit excessive lol I thought it was over.
