Hi, need help.

Didnt even know dd had varnish, dunno where she got it from as al my make up is up high on a shelf but shehas some how found nail varnish.

She must have thought it was eye shadow and has put some in her eye. Iv washed eye out with warm water, she cried her eyes out.Iv been washing eye for past 5 mins or so.

She isnt in pain now but im worrid about any damage to the eye,it was only a cheap 'miss sporty' varnish and theres no ingrecidents on wrapper as iv been trying to look up potentioal damage

Sorry to go on, just worrid.

Anyone know how bad it could be, should i call NHS direct?

Thanks

aw, sounds like she is ok then...what a worry

misdee · 03/02/2007 20:29

i'd take her to a+e, nail varnish is a solvent is it?

ThisTime · 03/02/2007 20:33

PrettyFull - how is she now? I once put false nail glue in my eye thinking is was my optrex! Luckily my friend was there but she literally had to scrape my eyeball as it started to set!

Prettyfull · 03/02/2007 20:37

She really seems fine in herself, like normal,...but like someone said,..its a solvent.

I know this sounds silly, but i feel bad calling NHS as i had to call them 2 weeks ago when dd had temp of 39 degrees and was being sick.

I dont want people thinking im a bad mummy

I covered the good eye, and held things up, and pulled faces and asked if leah could see and tell me what im doing & wat im holding,..she did it all fine.

I think i'l keep washing it out and see from there

Thanks you

Hi,...thankyou everyone for advise.

I went to A&E just got back, i queued for 2 and half hours!

DD is fine theres nothing left in her eye. I am very happy theres nothing wrong, but i queued that long and the doctor only looked in dd's eye with a light. She said it couldnt harm dd's eye and if there is anymoreit will just flake out! I was hoping they would wash her eye out properly or sumthing.

But anyway,..not gona moan as shes fine and thats main thing.

Thanks again x
