Setraline and B12 for neuropathy?

I have B12 deficiency which I believe has caused nerve damage in my hands and feet. I get burning pain and numbness in my hands and pain in my heels as well as pins and needles when walking.
I was put on setraline in April and been on 50mg a day. Last few weeks the nerve pain has been agony and I'm feeling so low with it all that doctor has increased my dose to 100mg in the hope that it will help the nerve damage. Does this sound right? Currently I have B12 every 8 weeks.
