Always been regular 28 days kinda gal, last month period came as normal but when i thought it was gone it came back like bloody discharge for a further 4 days. Period was due about a week ago but no sign! I had some discharge around the time it was due but that went away! Going on holiday in a few days and will be gutted if it comes then as use towels.. So will have to live in shorts and not swim.

Had a smear a few weeks ago as it was due.. Really hole it doesnt show anything sinister. Anyone gone through anything similiar?

I know periods can change with the peri menopause in sight and this can go on a few years before full blown menopause. My periods have become ridiculously heavy for a couple of days, although not changed in duration. Hopefully it will be this, but you could always book to see you practice nurse got reassurance.?

I think they will just say wait result of smear and if nothing abnormal try not to stress... Easier said than done..

I think the stress is waiting the smear result as i dont think i would be too worried if that was clear..

Pregnant?

Mittensonastring · 05/09/2016 07:50

Sounds like peri menopause, I was 46 when this kind of thing started. I had this kind of weirdness for 3 years.

MrsOs · 05/09/2016 08:06

Defo not pregnant..

Peri would be my suggestion but good that you went for a smear.
Mine went like that for a few years before finally giving up, now been over a year since last period and HRT is my new friend!

MrsOs · 12/09/2016 22:01

My smear has to be repeated! And so far period is 2 weeks late?
