No gallstones - what is this?!

Ongoing reflux/tummy issues, I'm on 300mg ranitidine a day which has eased the symptoms but it's still very uncomfortable and I have shooting pains and a tender stomach between breastbone.

GP asked for scan and no sign of gallstones. What else could this be?

Hiatus hernia, I had every symptom you describe and had this.

Could be chronic pancreatitis. Do you drink? They tested for this.

Eitherway, no alcohol with your symptoms.

I had no sign of gallstones on a ultrasound scan but they showed up n an MRI as like gravel. I didn't think they caused acid reflux.

Does not sound like pancreatis- you would be in hospital on morphne in agony.

Hiatus hernia?

Not acute pancreatitis, the slow burn of chronic. But, I agree with hiatus hernia.
Gallstones would not hurt where you describe.

No not a drinker at all. So now I'm guessing it's probably endoscopy isn't it?? I'm so uncomfortable how do you live with this I'm 33!
